The Indus Compass is an independent, English-language digital news publication. We cover national affairs in Pakistan, international news, business and the economy, sport, technology, entertainment and culture, and we publish a range of opinion and analysis.
Our name reflects our purpose: to help readers find their bearings in a fast-moving news environment, with reporting that is accurate, fair and clearly written.

Our team
Our journalism is produced by a small team of editors and reporters. Every article carries the name of the journalist responsible for it, and each author has a profile page describing their role and experience. Meet our journalists.
Ownership and funding
The Indus Compass is an independent publication run by its editorial team and led by our Editor-in-Chief, Javed Farooqi. We are funded through advertising. Advertisers have no influence over our editorial content, and sponsored content, if any, is always clearly labelled.
Our standards
We follow a published Editorial & Corrections Policy, which sets out how we source, verify, edit and correct our journalism, and how we separate news from opinion.
